Abstract

In addition to lending or correcting the content to legal rules, the ethic rules are also a source of duties for all those, who apply the law, in particular for judges, prosecutors and attorneys.

The ethical duties and professional responsibility of judges are regulated at greatest ex tent by an ethical code adopted by the Judges’ Association.

The activity of judges and prosecutors requires greater duties of their holders than those, which have been prescribed by law.

The Constitution, laws and ethical codes, which regulate duties of judges and prosecutors in Serbia, conform to gene rally accepted standards in democratic world.
