Abstract

In this work we analyzed the concept and characteristics of the criminal offense of robbery and theft, with a special emphasis being put on the statistical data for the period from 2004 to 2011. The analysis includes the structure of both reported and detected criminal offenses committed by adults and minors. There were also given the methods of execution of criminal offenses, as well as the ways of getting information and detecting the offenders of criminal offense of robbery and theft. We have emphasized the similarity between two crimes, because both represent a complex criminal offense, but we also pointed out the difference being reflected in the sequence of actions taken by the perpetrator of the criminal act.
