Responsibility of a transporter for the damage of luggage is different for hand luggage and for registered luggage. The types of luggage damages are damages due to damages, total or partial loss of the things.
At the transportation of the registered luggage in general stand the rules on contract of transportation of goods. For transportation of hand luggage there are some special rules.
Responsibility of the transporter for hand luggage is lesser than the responsibility for registered luggage. For the damage of the things that passenger keeps with himself (hand luggage) transporter is responsible according to the general rules of responsibility. Transporter is not responsible for hand luggage if the passenger did not keep it properly. That, neverheless, does not mean that transporter is not at all responsible for hand luggage. For this kind of luggage transporter’s responsibility is different in various transportation branches. Responsibility of the transporter for hand luggage is partly original.
